Violet C. Pergel is a Registered Clinical Social Worker and a Chartered Mediator. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario in 1993. She has worked as a therapist for over 20 years, with time spent in Community Mental Health Clinics in Alberta. She opened her private practice in 2005; and currently only sees adults, couples and businesses in her practice. She currently offers the following services: Counselling/Therapy, Psychotherapy, Mediation, Divorce Coach, Parenting Skills Training, and Personal Skill Development.
Violet was first trained in Mediation in 1990 during a practicum in the Community Mediation Services at Community Justice Initiative in Waterloo, Ontario. Since that time, she has upgraded her Mediation training and has taken over 400 hours of training in Mediation since 2009. She has extensive experience with individuals in conflict and regularly teaches collaborative problem-solving skills to her clients. Violet formally expanded her private practice to include Mediation in 2009 and became a Chartered Mediator (ADR Canada) in 2013. She has taught Alternative Dispute Resolution courses at both Athabasca University as well as at Royal Roads University.
Mediation Services include Separation and Divorce Agreements, Family Disputes, Parenting Plans, Post-Divorce Issues, Wills/Estates, and Elder Care Disputes.
